What to Expect
Two primary factors make Sculptra different. First is its makeup. Sculptra is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is safely absorbed by the body and used in dissolvable stitches. The microparticles of PLLA work deep within the skin to replace lost collagen and reinforce its structure over time.
The other attribute that sets Sculptra apart is the way treatment is delivered. Instead of being a one-time treatment, Sculptra is delivered in a series of three or more injections over a few months. This delivery allows results to emerge subtly and extends the length of the results.
How Much Does Sculptra Aesthetic® Cost?
The cost of treatment depends on several factors, including the number of injection sessions needed and the amount (number of vials) of filler used at each session. Compared to other dermal fillers, individual vials of Sculptra may be more expensive. However, the results are significantly longer lasting.*

Dr. Ambro has an unparalleled bedside manner with his patients and it is evident that he is adored and revered by his peers, staff, and patients alike. His attention to detail is uncanny. As a student observing many consults and interactions with patients, I was very impressed with Dr. Chappell’s ability to navigate sensitive subjects. He spends adequate time with each patient addressing each unique concern and makes a stressful experience a very pleasurable one. It is not always easy to converse about ones “defects”, yet he does so gracefully and with humility. Dr. Chappell is very amicable and went out of his way to welcome me and make me feel as though I was part of the team. I have met students with whom he has worked and my experience was echoed. On a final note, I was very impressed with Dr. Chappell’s drive to learn new information. His desk was filled with articles, journals, and notes about new procedures and new developments in his field of medicine. He is well informed and stays ahead of the times. He will not disappoint!
With regards to the other team members, Le Ann is a very skilled provider who has mastered patient interaction and satisfaction. She navigates BBL and CoolSculpting among other services with expertise and care and is a valuable member of the Annapolis Plastic Surgery team. Above all, she has a wonderful personality and will surely brighten your day. Kristen, the office MA is a beautiful and talented individual that brings a sense of calm to this busy practice.
